The Movement Begins Here

My name is Kevin Guyton. My wife Sene and I met while working at the largest homeless shelter on the Hawaiian island of O‘ahu. Both of us had lived through deep trauma—and we saw the same pain in the people we served. What held them back wasn’t just poverty. It was the weight of unspoken mental health struggles.

We realized: if mental health isn’t prioritized, nothing else can be.

So we started Peak International to change the narrative. To make mental health the first thing people ask about, not the last. Where “How are you doing?” is really meant and not merely a part of the initial greeting.

We’re building a pilot program for youth ages 16–24 to strengthen their own resilience, normalize these conversations, and help them weather life’s storms with clarity and courage.
